Most importantly, treatments are not based on our needs, but on those of our patients. Every treatment is individualized and not a cookie-cutter solution so every patient’s treatment is unique. Patients know that we are not in business to serve ourselves, but to serve our patients. Our practice was the first in this area over 50 years ago, with Doctors Touchstone, Libby, and Dooley treating patients this same way. Dr. Harrison has been carrying on that same tradition since 1994, treating patients the way he and his family would want to be treated.
WHY Do We Use Self-ligating Braces?
We believe that Damon™ Ultima and Norris System self-ligating braces and Damon™ Clear braces are the best braces for our patients? Our patients are much more comfortable due to the lack of ties which bind the braces to the wires, and increase pain. Because there are no ties in self-ligated braces, a much cleaner oral environment results in less bacteria buildup, which causes white spots (decalcifications). Also, teeth that move easier result in many more non-extraction treatments than traditional orthodontic appliances. These are the reasons WHY we use Damon and Norris passive self-ligating braces for our patients.
Passive self-ligating systems such as Damon and Norris also eliminate the need for expanders and headgear that are the hallmark of traditional treatment. All of this creates a much more comfortable experience and beautiful smiles for our patients.
